Architecting the Federal Cloud

Strategically situated in the heart of the Dulles Corridor, BizHelper’s proximity to Washington, D.C. has allowed BizHelper to work closely with a variety of federal agencies, aiding senior leaders by creating strategic briefing material, which serves to translate the complexities of enterprise architecture to non-technologically trained individuals. In addition, BizHelper supports certain branches of the military in identifying outdated solutions and effectively and efficiently supplanting them with cutting-edge web based solutions while following government requirements and regulations.

United States Army

army_logoWithin the United State's Department of the Army, the Chief Information Office (CIO/G-6) is proactively seeking to enhance all current and future IT architecture. BizHelper has been working with the CIO/G6 under Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions & Services to consult them during this evolution. BizHelper has been on-site at the Army creating strategic briefing materials in addition to identifying requirements for website hosting, content development process creation and website feasibility analysis and studies per Army Regulations.

Army Architecture Integration Center, CIO/G-6

ciog6BizHelper supports the US Army CIO/G6 by assisting the Army Architecture Integration Center’s Army Enterprise Architecture and Army Knowledge Management initiatives under Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions & Services. BizHelper enables AAIC in creating strategic briefing material with effective graphic design, content development, and research that communicates complex concepts pertaining to enterprise architecture in a manner that a layman can understand. BizHelper also supports the Army in identifying requirements for website hosting, content development process creation, and website feasibility analysis as per Army Regulations.

The U.S. Army operates a globally interconnected, end-to-end set of information capabilities, information exchanges, functions, associated processes and personnel for collecting, processing, storing, disseminating, and managing information on demand to Warfighters, policy makers, and support personnel. As a subcontractor to Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions & Services, BizHelper provides support to the U.S. Army CIO/G-6, Enterprise Architecture and Knowledge Management initiatives. Lockheed Martin Enterprise Solutions & Services (LMES&S) provides engineering services in support of the Army's Knowledge Management (AKM) Strategic Plan and Information Management (IM) Transformation initiatives. All of the Department of the Army, military, civilians, and contractors are working towards a capabilities-based, open architecture and common operating environment that spans from the CONUS/sanctuary to forward deployed units.

Department of State

Department_of_Defense_sealBizHelper staff provided subject matter expertise for the XTec smartcard readers and the SoftwareHouse Access Control software that was running on Windows server using physical and logical security engineering methodologies developed in conjunction with Northrop Grumman IT and XTec.

BizHelper was under contract to the Department of State (DOS), under Northrop Grumman IT (NGIT), to provide support to the Access Control and IT Team in place. NGIT designed and implemented an advanced global ID and access control security system for the DoS, its facilities and computer infrastructure, under a contract with the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center. The new DoS global ID and access control system is state-of-the-art and has been designed and built to meet current and future security requirements.
